Meet Sumaya Yusuf, a Gen-Z beauty content creator based in California. Despite earning a bachelor’s degree in political science, she fully embraced her passion for beauty as a content creator in 2022, diving in full-time. Through her content, Sumaya aims to inspire confidence and creativity, particularly among fellow hijabis. As a Black hijabi in America, Sumaya navigates spaces where she often stands out, but she thrives on breaking norms and empowering others to embrace their uniqueness. She aspires to be a role model for girls like her, demonstrating that they can achieve anything. With her move to California, Sumaya is eager for new opportunities, including closer collaborations with brands, networking, and refining her brand identity. From partnering with Sephora, Charlotte Tilbury, and Walmart to embarking on brand trips to South Korea with Kahi and Puerto Rico with Dibs, Sumaya eagerly anticipates the future as a young, Black hijabi content creator.
